Hey team, here is your dose of a few things that I am currently buying, pondering, reading, tasting, testing, using or subscribing to. As always, take it or leave it, these things have found there way into my routine because they have made some sort of upgrade or positive effect on my being. Hope they do the same for you!

 What I'm Reading
Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss. This book is a bit of an intimidating 600+ pages at a glance but you really can get absorbed into the hundreds of golden nuggets that are presented page after page. This has not just been a book but a resource of so much motivation for me so far (over half way to go). Think self development, business, mindfulness, investments and positive habit creation.

What I'm Eating
Bulletproof Collagen Protein Bars. The best of the best. There's a lot of bars out there but most have a pretty crappy ingredients list. This bar, full of grass fed collagen, cacao, coconut oil, cashew butter and more, ticks all the boxes. I go through a box of 12 in roughly 1 hour.

I've been using this when it seems hard to look at the bigger picture of whatever it is I am working towards whether it be a new movement at gymnastics or new ideas I'm working on.

I brought you Keto balls, now I bring you another high fat alternative to your not so healthy treats – Keto Ice cream. This one is even easier than the Keto Balls and I suppose is more of a post dinner alternative to the usual sugar laden tub you would reach for before you made the conscious choice to go high fat. This might be an acquired taste to some but one thing I have noticed about a transition to a very low sugar diet is that when you do experience a sugary food again after abstaining from it for a while, its obvious the taste buds have made some serious adjustments.

I feel your pain. True keto/high fat snacks and treats a hard to come by and challenging to nail. If you are adopting any major nutritional change to your routine its hard enough as it is, but throw in the idea of minimising carbohydrate down to 50gms or lower a day and it becomes a whole new bag of worms. Just briefly, the idea of minimising carbohydrate intake, if you are not already aware, can have the effect of stabilising hormones, reducing cravings, allowing the utilisation of fat or ketones for energy rather than glucose, improve athletic performance, decreased 'post exercise' muscle damageencourages some of the effects of fasting and can have great implications for neurological function.
